Welcome to the Hibernia College Spring CPD Courses Programme


Hibernia College is launching a suite of short online Spring CPD Courses for teachers commencing on February 1st. Each course consists of five lessons and provides for 20 hours of study in total. Courses are completed entirely online through downloadable course material with facilitated, online discussion forums. Each course is fully up-to-date and has lots of guidance and practical advice for the teacher in the primary classroom.

Many of the courses below are also suitable for parents who wish to gain a greater insight into their children’s school lives and education.

Key Facts for Spring CPD Courses

 

 Hibernia College offers quality-assured blended and online education programmes.

  • All courses will be released on Monday, 1st February and should be completed by Friday, 30th April. It is recommended that you complete the course within two weeks of your start date; however, you can choose the times and duration of your study periods.  
  • Each course has five lessons and requires 4 hours of study per lesson (approximately 20 hours in total).
  • This includes study of the lesson and completion of exercises within each lesson, a contribution to the Discussion Forum and the recommended reading. On completion of the five lessons, you will also write your Reflective Learning Log to complete the course.
  • At the end of the course, you will have a Continuous Professional Development Record to print and keep (including all your approved work plus a certificate of completion).

Enrolling on a course:

  • You can either enrol online or by sending an application form and payment to the Hibernia College office in Dublin. See the enrolment page for details.
  • Online enrolment will continue until Monday, 19th April. Postal applications must be received by Monday, 12th April.
  • All courses cost €99.
  • A dedicated support team is available to answer all your queries, either by phone or e-mail. Course facilitators will also be available on e-mail to answer any questions you have regarding the course content.
